High Value-add Coating Technology Platform
■ High Solar-Reflective and Low Thermal-Conductivity Coatings
▶ We developed solar reflective and low conductivity coating technologies and applied to convenience
stores, office buildings, industrial facilities, and energy storage system. These applications have
reduced air-conditioning electricity consumption by 10~20%, with an estimated annual energy
saving of 31,000 kWh and a carbon reduction of 15 tons per year.
▶ A large-scale field verification for tanks exceeding the kiloton level has also been completed,
reducing the tank surface temperature by 20℃ . The internal temperature of the tanks is expected
to decrease by about 4℃ , leading to an estimated annual reduction of over 10 tons of VOC emissions
and a carbon reduction exceeding 25 tons per year.
■ Non-Toxic Corrosion Protection System for PV Mounting Structures
▶ Developed a non-toxic, food-grade anti-corrosion coating(BPA-free and RoHS 10 compliant)that
enables a full life-cycle protection system for galvanized steel—from coil slitting and forming to
assembly and on-site maintenance.
▶ This solution greatly enhances corrosion resistance of PV mounting systems in Taiwan’s highly
corrosive coastal and industrial environments, while ensuring zero heavy-metal contamination risks
for aquaculture-integrated solar projects.
▶ In partnership with Shin Kong Steel, the project established field validation and application records
for the ECOGAL® Mg–Al–Zn–Ni coating system. Over 300 MW of coated frames and fasteners
have been deployed in photovoltaic systems, generating renewable power for 50,000+
households annually, achieving an estimated carbon reduction of 100,000 tons per year—with
zero environmental hazard.
Low Carbon Footprint Resin Technology Tlatform
■ High-value applications of low-carbon circular polyurethane
▶ Guided the Singtex Group in developing a recycled textile-based polyurethane waterproof
breathable membrane, which received the 2025 R&D 100 Award.
▶ Developed polyurethane coating technology with excellent adhesion and tear resistance, applied to
bags, tents, and high-end inflatable products.
