全台塑膠包裝使用量驚人,估計每年可製造34萬噸多層複合包裝,盡數丟棄焚化,造成大量碳排成一大難題。為因應全球減碳議題,塑膠包裝回收開發成為顯學,因此工研院材料與化工研究所針對無法回收之多層複合包裝進行單一材質化技術開發。
材化所將包裝材料中佔比最高、回收性最佳的聚烯作為主材料,開發出延伸級聚烯薄膜取代過去保護層使用的PET或PA膜,並引入高阻隔聚烯膜取代阻隔層使用的鋁箔,最終完成全聚烯包裝袋。
This technique incorporates high-barrier functionalized polyolefin film to replace aluminum foil in barrier layers, creating low-carbon, high-barrier polyolefin bags for unrecyclable packaging.
透過與彩藝廠合作量產開發,將全聚烯包裝袋成功製袋並與製作成咖啡濾掛袋外包裝(全PE)與面膜包裝袋(全PP)。
