Directed Laser Deposition
■ Directed Laser Deposition(200μm~)
Directed laser deposition technology offers the advantages of rapid prototyping and greatly enhancing, and its capabilities are good for rapidly fabricating large-scale coatings or components. The process boasts high material efficiency, allowing for the stacking of coatings or repairs on surfaces. Direct laser deposition applications can be broadly categorized into three types:stacking coatings on surfaces for surface modification; attaching to other metal components to add new functional surfaces or repair localized features for repair or remanufacturing; and directly forming 3D components. Direct laser deposition can be categorized as an additive manufacturing method, suitable for surface coating, cladding, repair, remelting, and 3D printing of various mechanical components. This emerging technology, resulting from advances in laser technology, uses a laser to melt metal, alloy, or ceramic powders to form coatings or desired three-dimensional shapes. Direct laser deposition utilizes a high-energy laser heating source, allowing the molten material to accumulate into a deposited layer with excellent bond strength. This high material efficiency makes it suitable for constructing large components and  coatings across various industrial sectors.
